Can’t disagree with these. Along these lines, it would great if parents could actually go back to acting like parents - instead of always trying to be the cool parent or one of the child’s buddies.
I’ve seen a number of parents who actually will not tell a child NO, or insist on standards of behavior. And some have decided that whatever their child wants they must bankrupt themselves to buy. The child has no responsibilities, no chores, no standards of conduct - anything goes.
Guess what these kids act like when they’re older? Or in the workplace, assuming they can hold down a job longer than a week?
