Should You Include Your Pronouns in Resumes?
If so, why not add your astrological sign, spirit animal, and favorite Disney princess?
Should HR Departments Coerce People into Adding Pronouns?
One of the most pointless and dumbest current crazes in the corporate world is the one Woke HR staff push on employees. Yes, I am referring to attaching pronouns to everything. Pronouns are a warning sign that the applicant is most likely going to be more trouble than they are worth.
HR staff push this nonsense on employees for no other reason than to virtue signal.
This woman sums it up nicely.
But but but.... maybe my employer needs to know that I'm a Zim/Zam/Zoom?
So, the answer to the subject line is yes! Please do let us know that you come with all sorts of self-inflicted emotional problems and have an addiction to controlling everyone around you in the pettiest ways possible, before we interview you.

How to Respond to HR Pressure to Include Pronouns in Emails
If you are uncomfortable with the pressure to include pronouns in your emails, here are a number of tactics you can choose from.
Simply ignore the requests and continue on as mankind has since the dawn of time. The odds are good that HR will simply leave you alone after the second reminder, but not guaranteed.
Take my advice and use adjectives instead as they can convey information about you that’s both helpful and interesting.
Explain to HR that you do not feel comfortable sharing personal details such as pronouns.
Respond with an answer like this:
Hi, I have a lifelong rule about avoiding politics and religion at work and with people I don’t know well. If someone were to ask me to use their personal pronouns, I would do so out of a commitment to civility.
However, I have no need for them myself. Nor has anyone ever had any problem seeing that I am a man.
Please understand that I do not wish to advertise anyone’s politics, especially at work. My rule is universal and applies equally to all.
The above words are mine and sincere. If asked politely to use specific pronouns, I will do so. I just don’t want to be forced to use them for myself in order to comply with this vapid craze nor be seen as promoting it in my emails.
