Who would have ever thought that America would one day have teens serving as judges?

Not me.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is impatiently awaiting her Sweet 16 birthday party this fall. The teen is kept busy juggling the responsibilities of being a straight C-student at Harris County’s St. George Floyd High School and working as a Harris County judge.

Lina’s role models are Barbie and Wonder Woman. Her single mom, Consuela, age 28, has expressed her full faith in Lina one day achieving her dream of operating her very own nail salon. “Everyone thinks we are hermanas,” giggles Consuela.

Here is Lina blaming the recent murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungray on President Trump who fought to stop illegal and unvetted immigration. You gotta love that cute munchkin voice. (Okay, she got this issue assbackward, but she’s only 15 and a C-student, for gosh sakes! So give her a break.)

Afterward, teacher Hermoine Sanchez quickly jumped to Lina’s defense adding that while she is still only 15, she already possesses the intelligence and wisdom of a 16-year-old and so is fit to be an officer of the court.

Update:

I just did a quick search on little Miss Hidalgo and discovered that she was appointed a judge five years ago at 13 and quickly became embroiled in, let’s call them, “controversies.”
